Our Cosy Cottage Caravan is located within Sandy Bay Caravan park in the lovely little fishing village of Newbiggin by the Sea. There’s more than 30 miles of coastline to explore, and if you can tear yourself away from the holiday park, you can visit Newcastle, Alnwick, Morpeth, and the Scottish Borders, which are a stone’s throw away.
Why Sandy Bay?
Sandy Bay is the only caravan park that has direct beach access, which is perfect for family walks. There’s plenty to do on site as well. For the kids, there’s a heated indoor pool and an adventure playground, and for the adults, there are some excellent entertainment acts and plenty of live music in the evenings.

As well as having plenty to do, holidays are all about relaxation too. Our cosy cottage caravan is like a little haven away from the world. There’s a lovely decking area where you sit in the sun and have a barbecue (and maybe enjoy a Coors-my favourite lager!) in the summer months. You can see the sea from the window too, which is so relaxing to watch.
Inside the caravan
The caravan sleeps up to 6 people and has everything you need for a relaxing break. The cosy living room has a fire and comfortable chairs, there’s a fully equipped kitchen, and a dining room for lingering over meals if you don’t fancy taking advantage of the lovely food that’s available on site. There’s a double bedroom with an en-suite, a second bedroom with 2 single beds, and a pull out double sofa bed in the living room. The bathroom has a shower and a bath, perfect for relaxing in after a day at the beach.
